EUSIPCO 2009. 17th European Signal Processing Conference. August 25 - 28th, 2009. Glasgow, Scotland.

Special Sessions

As well as regular sessions with oral or poster presentations, the technical program of EUSIPCO 2009 will incorporate a number of special sessions on focussed topics of high interest to the signal processing community. Please find below information on the call for special session proposals and their format.

Call for Special Session Proposals

EUSIPCO 2009 invites proposals for special sessions on topics of high interest to the signal processing community. The areas of contributions can cover those listed in the call for papers, and beyond.

Special sessions will consist of 4 or 5 contributions on a specialised topic, and can take one of the following formats:

  • five presentations of 20 minutes each
  • on 40 minute overview talk followed by three 20 minute presentations

Special session proposals are subject to a review process organised by the TPC chairs. Papers of accepted special sessions will undergo the normal review process. Submitted papers that are accepted after the review process, based on their scientific quality and relevance to the Special Session, will be included either in the corresponding Special Session or in the regular program. This decision will be taken by the Special Session organizers and the TPC Chairs.

Please note that the special session organizers and all invited speakers will be required to register for the conference.

Proposal Format

Special session proposals should comprise a two page (max.) summary including:

  • title of the proposed special session;
  • name and affiliation of special session proposer(s);
  • a short description addressing the importance of the topic, which can be used for publicising the special session on the conference website;
  • a list of five or six probable contributors to the specialsession with tentative paper titles.

Submission of Special Session Proposals
